Double Header for the Evening. Presentation and Seminar
David Saathof a recent forestry graduate from Hawkes Bay has been awarded the second Prince of Wales Sustainability award for Forestry in New Zealand. This is a very prestigious award and David Evison the President of the NZIF is going to present the award on this evening.
Then David Evison will give the following address:
Title: Climate Change Mitigation in New Zealand – What is the Role of New Planted Forests?
David Evison, President of the NZIF and Associate Professor at the School of Forestry at University of Canterbury, has agreed to give the above address to the Hawkes Bay local section.
The presentation is based on analysis of the impact of the ETS and other Government policies on the forestry sector in New Zealand, and how planted forests should be used to meet New Zealand’s commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Coffee and tea will be served at 5.15pm and the bar will be opened at the conclusion for a convivial catch up.
