People requiring expert forestry advice are
encouraged to seek this from an NZIF Registered
Member. Admission to registration requires a
peer review process and adherence to a number
of criteria which are set out
here. Registered Members are
required to undertake a programme of continuing
professional development, to annually sign
adherence to the NZIF Code of Ethics and to
undergo periodic reviews of their registration.
Complaints against Registered Members are
considered by the Registration Board and could
lead to disciplinary action if the complaint is
upheld.
One of the requirements of the Code of
Ethics is that the member may not advise
outside their areas of professional
competency.
Below is a link to a list of Registered
Members, but please note that not all such
members are available to take on advisory or
consultancy assignments.
